It's the sad side to life as a professional rugby league player - the fact Canberra Raiders halfback George Williams feels he has to learn to live with the abuse on social media. He, thankfully, hasn't had to deal with death threats, like Melbourne fullback Ryan Papenhuyzen revealed he's regularly had to deal with, but he revealed the Raiders players did regularly cop abuse. Papenhuyzen's comments come on the back of revelations Callan Ward, who plays for the GWS Giants in the AFL, received death threats following their win on Friday night. Ward received a controversial free kick that led to the match-winning goal. It's an unsavoury side to their lives in the spotlight.
