Jack Murchie asked his Canberra Raiders teammates for advice before a tearful farewell led to him joining the New Zealand Warriors this week. Murchie has already linked with the Warriors in Gosford after deciding they were his best chance of securing regular NRL game time and launching his career to the next level. But before he took the leap, he asked Raiders assistant coach Andrew McFadden and players Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad and Siliva Havili to help him make the agonising decision. "The whole process started earlier in the week and happened very quickly," said Murchie, who admits there's been a mutual interest between the two parties previously. "I got a phone call down in Canberra, explaining there was an opportunity at the Warriors.
