Jack Wighton has been ruled out of Thursday's clash with Parramatta while young gun Xavier Savage is out for the season as the Raiders' continue to count the cost from a bruising win over Cronulla. Savage will require surgery on an injured AC joint, sustained in just his second NRL match on Saturday. The 19-year-old played on with injury throughout the contest, and scored the match-winning try as Canberra's late-season surge gained momentum. Wighton, meanwhile, will be given at least an extra week to recover from the rib injury picked up in Saturday's win. The star five-eighth copped a painful knock in the first half on Saturday and only lasted 20 minutes over the second stanza before being ruled out of the game.
