It was a case of so close, yet so far away for the Canberra Raiders in 2021. The Green machine finished the season with the same amount of points as the eighth-placed Titans - but had to settle for 10th position with an inferior for-and-against. The departure of halfback George Williams has paved the way for the Raiders to sign organising halfback Jamal Fogarty from the Gold Coast while Nick Cotric is back in green after a stint at Canterbury. Fogarty’s combination with star five-eighth Jack Wighton, who struggled to find his best form in 2021, will be crucial for the Raiders.
