The Canberra Raiders face being without star winger Jordan Rapana for the opening rounds of the season after he was charged for a shoulder charge in the NRL All Stars game on Saturday night. Rapana was hit with a grade one shoulder charge for the hit on Maori All Stars forward David Fifita in the 13th minute of the game. It was one of two incidents rapana was put on report for, with the 32-year-old also sent to the sin bin after another hit on Jesse Ramien that led to some push and shove. Rapana's also facing a suspension for an off-season drink-driving charge, which means he could miss the opening three rounds of the Green Machine's 2022 season. That would see him miss games against Cronulla, the North Queensland Cowboys and the Gold Coast.
