IN the space of 13 minutes during last Sunday’s semi-final victory over the Belconnen Scholars, the two halves of the Queanbeyan Blues’ premiership puzzle may have finally clicked into place.

The Blues will contest their first Canberra Raiders Cup first-grade grand final since 2008 next weekend after grinding out a 32-25 win against the Scholars at the West Belconnen Leagues Club.

The victory was the side’s first since July 16 and was built on the back a superb showing from the Blues’ star halves pairing of Ben Nicoll and five-eighth Justin Giteau.
