Former Raiders Coach Matthew Elliot once famously said that “statistics are like mini-skirts…they reveal a lot but they hide the best bits.”
This phrase could be adapted to Raiders National Youth Competition second-rower Tevita Pangai after his extraordinary performance in the Raiders 36-20 victory over the Manly Sea Eagles on Saturday afternoon.
Pangai’s statistics frm the game are simply phenomenal.
In 80 minutes of outstanding rugby league, Pangai registered 4 try assists, 17 hit-ups for 196 metres, two line-breaks, one line-break assist, six tackle breaks, two offloads and 22 tackles.
Even more impressive is the fact that this was just Tevita’s third game in the NYC after coming up from the Raiders SG Ball side.
