The Canberra Raiders’ Holden Cup team will be looking to get their finals preparations back on track this Sunday when they take on the Manly Sea Eagles at Canberra Stadium.
It was an extremely disappointing result for the young Raiders last week as they were humiliated 62-12 by a classy Canterbury-Bankstown side. The first half was especially disastrous with the Bulldogs racking up an astounding 42 points in just 40 minutes much to the disappointment of Raiders coach, Mick Mantelli.
“I can’t really put a finger on what went wrong last week,” Mantelli said.
“I thought we trained alright during the week, there were no signs of it, everything was upbeat... but when three quarters of your team aren’t switched on [during the game] the end result is a big loss.”
