Title: Raiders pay respects to Soliola
Post by: Raidercast on August 20, 2021, 02:57:20 PM
The Canberra Raiders will pay their respects to spiritual leader Sia Soliola following the death of his mother. They'll wear black armbands in her memory when they take on the Manly Sea Eagles at Lang Park tonight. Soliola withdrew from the game to grieve with Dunamis Lui brought onto the bench in his place. The 35-year-old's a much-loved member of not only the Raiders club, but the Canberra community as well. When the pandemic allows, he's constantly involved in charity work throughout the ACT - whether it's cutting his hair to raise money for a worthy cause or sleeping out in Canberra's freezing cold winter to raise awareness for the homeless.
