Wighton wins first Clive Churchill Medal from losing side since 2013

Raiders five-eighth Jack Wighton has been named the Clive Churchill Medallist for his performance in the Roosters win over the Raiders in the 2019 Grand Final. The Raiders went down 14-8 in a controversial thriller, but few could begrudge Wighton’s big game performance in a beaten side.

Wighton became the first player to win the Clive Churchill Medal in a losing side since Daly Cherry-Evans in 2013, ironically in another Roosters grand final win.
