Stuart more worried about his golf swing than Papalii

Parramatta Coach Ricky Stuart is keeping details over contract negotiations with Canberra Raiders star Josh Papalii a close secret.

Papalii has signed up to play for the Eels in 2014, but still has until the 13th round this season to back out.

Raiders Coach David Furner says Papalii does not want to leave Canberra and negotiations are underway to keep him here.

Today Ricky Stuart wouldn't be drawn on the tug of war between the two clubs.

Before the start of his charity golf event in Canberra this morning, Stuart was asked if he was nervous about possibly losing his star recruit.

"Not as nervous as I'm about to hit this ball here," Mr Stuart said.

"I don't know how it's going to go. I haven't played golf for a while so it's going to be a good day today.

"It's all about the Foundation today. It's not business it's fun, and that's why I'm here," he said.
