The Canberra Raiders will get over their NRL grand final hangover and then set about re-signing their soon-to-be-off-contract stars. Clive Churchill Medallist Jack Wighton, co-captain Jarrod Croker, young gun Nick Cotric, and maybe even Joey Leilua top the Green Machine's re-signing priorities. All four are off contract at the end of 2020 and are free to accept other offers from November 1. But Raiders recruitment boss Peter Mulholland said that once the pain of the grand final loss had died down - plus coach Ricky Stuart had returned from a week at the Rugby World Cup with England coach Eddie Jones - they would get to work on extending their stars. Leilua has been granted permission to look elsewhere, with the Canterbury Bulldogs initially interested.
