Thompson cited for dangerous contact

CANBERRA Raiders centre Joel Thompson has been cited by the NRL match review committee for his dangerous contact on Melbourne player Rory Kostjasyn.

The contact occurred in the 57th minute of the match and carries a weight of 75 points for an early plea and 100 if he's found guilty.

This means should Thompson take the early plea, he will be available Canberra’s Monday night clash with St. George Illawarra next week.

If he challenges the grade one charge unsuccessfully, he will sit out the match.
