Trailing the New Zealand Warriors 22-6 at half-time this afternoon, the Raiders were 40 minutes away from being shunted into an energy-sapping trip from Auckland to north Queensland for an elimination final against the Cowboys.
But six unanswered tries after the break secured the Raiders their 13th win of the season, and fifth in succession.
Cronulla’s 36-22 loss to the Cowboys delivered the Raiders sixth position on the table and locked in a sudden-death date with the Sharks at Canberra Stadium next Sunday.
