The Raiders may have consigned the Dragons to another year without finals footy after scoring a hard-fought 20-12 win on Friday night.
These teams were level on 18 points each coming into the game. But with the Dragons suffering their fourth loss in a row, it’s the Raiders who are now in the top-eight.
Things didn’t start well for the Dragons losing winger Cody Ramsey in the opening minute to concussion. They then watched an 8-0 lead whittle away to a 12-12 deadlock at halftime.
Both Raiders first-half tries involved mid-air magic. First winger Harley Smith-Shields batted the ball back while airborne, for Jordan Rapana to score.
