Raiders not interested in Boyd

Canberra Raiders chief executive Don Furner dismissed that suggestion outright, telling the Herald on Monday night that the Raiders had ‘‘absolutely no interest in him at all’’.

‘‘We haven’t spoken to him or anyone about him,’’ Furner said.

Rugby league’s rumour mill first linked Boyd to the Raiders and the Bulldogs after it was revealed in March that he was unhappy at the Newcastle Knights because a $200,000 third-party agreement had not been honoured.

Fairfax Media reported two weeks ago that Canterbury officials had dismissed speculation that the Bulldogs were chasing Boyd.
