Map: Canberra 2600 (http://maps.google.com/?q=-35.2772,149.1292(Canberra%202600)&z=5) Canberra has re-signed exciting backline prospect Jack Wighton through until the end of the 2014 season.
Wighton added a year to his existing deal, having made his first grade debut earlier this season.
The 19-year-old, who played wing and in the centres this season, says he expects to face stiff competition for a starting berth next year.
"It's going to be hard work to secure a spot in the backline next year as guys like Edrick Lee and Sandor Earl have been great, but that just makes you want to work harder," Wighton said in a statement.
Wighton returned to training this week after being sidelined for a lengthy period because of a foot injury he sustained in a backyard trampolining accident.
