Canberra still have no indication as to whether wayward star Blake Ferguson will front the club's board for a compulsory meeting they're calling.
The Raiders have not seen or heard from the 23-year-old NSW Origin winger since he left for Sydney on August 24, and it's all but certain his career at the club is over.
Raiders chief executive Don Furner passed a message to Ferguson through his second-cousin Anthony Mundine late last week to advise him he was required back in Canberra for a compulsory face-to-face meeting.
While the club is yet to organise a time for the meeting, they are aiming for late in the week as Ferguson is due back in court on Sydney on Tuesday on the indecent assault charge against him over alleged incident at a Cronulla nightspot in June. He has pleaded not guilty.
Despite talking to Mundine, the Raiders say they don't know whether Ferguson will return to Canberra after his court appearance.
Ferguson's good friend Josh Dugan was also afforded the same opportunity by the Raiders earlier this year, before declining and getting the sack.
Regardless, for both parties, the meeting looks to be nothing more than a formality to put a neat full stop at the end of Ferguson's three seasons at the Raiders.
Ferguson's behaviour over the past three weeks has indicated he wants out of the club he re-signed with for another two years just four months ago.
His teammates dropped out of finals contention against the Warriors over the weekend with a fifth straight loss, of which Ferguson has missed four.
As well as spending all last week MIA, Ferguson opted to be in Sydney for two of those matches instead of supporting his teammates at Canberra Stadium.
In fact, so keen was he to get to Sydney in one instance that he was fined by police for allegedly driving 18km/h over the speed limit with a suspended licence.
It means that as well as a Sydney court date on Tuesday, Ferguson is also due to appear in the Moss Vale Local Court for the driving charge on October 21.
And if the Raiders don't sack him before then, he only has to wait until October 31 until he can activate a release clause in his contract that was triggered when coach David Furner was sacked a fortnight ago.
