Raiders leader retires after 17 seasons
« on: September 28, 2021, 10:20:34 AM »
After 17 seasons and 346 games, Sia Soliola went into Canberra Raiders HQ and cleaned out his locker on Monday, drawing the curtain on a wonderful career. Now he's preparing to welcome his fourth child into his young family and the next stage of his career. He'll still be wearing lime green, using all of his vast experience to help the next generation of the Green Machine in his role in player welfare. The 35-year-old started his career under Ricky Stuart, the then Sydney Roosters coach in 2005. He made 92 NRL appearances for the Tricolours before joining St Helens in the English Super League, where he played another 117 games and won a premiership in 2014.
