The Canberra Raiders under 20s survived a huge Brisbane Broncos second-half comeback to shore up a top-four spot with a 50-36 win at Canberra Stadium yesterday.Having led 28-10 at half-time, the Raiders appeared to put the result to bed with two early second-half tries to take a 38-10 advantage.
But the Broncos stormed back into the match with five straight tries to reduce the deficit to 38-36 with 11 minutes remaining.
Fittingly it was five-eighth Anthony Milford who steadied the ship, scoring an individual try and converting it to give the Raiders an eight-point buffer in the 76th minute.
