Blue Raiders hold promise in Origin fight

Be afraid Queensland, be very afraid.

That's the warning from Canberra Raiders playmaker Mitch Cornish after NSW thrashed the Maroons 36-12 in the under-20 State of Origin on Saturday.

Queensland might have won seven straight Origin series, but Cornish says the exciting crop of Blues youngsters can forge their own dynasty.

Cornish won the Darren Lockyer medal as best on field for his superb two-try performance. He said the side was galvanised by inspirational addresses from former and current NSW coaches Ricky Stuart and Laurie Daley.
