‘What a shemozzle’: ‘Crazy’ captain’s challenge mess proves costly for confused Dragons

The Dragons might be asking the NRL for a please explain over the Bunker’s inexplicable handling of a captain’s challenge in their 22-16 loss to the Raiders. With five minutes to go in the second half Adam Clune attempted a cutout pass for Euan Aitken that appeared to be knocked on by Raiders defender Michael Oldfield first before Aitken knocked on and then Mikaele Ravalawa spilt the ball over the tryline.

The Raiders were awarded the scrum, before the Dragons used a captain’s challenge to get the decision reversed, before all hell broke loose in the Bunker.
