New rules or not, Newcastle Knights fullback Kalyn Ponga is always going to be a threat. He returns from suspension to face the Canberra Raiders at Campbelltown Stadium on Sunday, which will be his first game under the post-coronavirus-shutdown rules. It's seen attacking players able to show their flair, especially off the back of dominant possession. The NRL has given the referees the ability to call six again for ruck infringements, rather than a penalty, and it's led to more free-flowing football in the first weekend of its introduction. Ponga will get his first taste against an unbeaten Raiders team that's only points differential off the top of the ladder.
