The Canberra Raiders have made a multi-million dollar pitch for Sydney Roosters enforcer Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, hoping to break a frustrating run of knock-backs with big-name players.
The Raiders have failed to land any elite players despite attempts to lure Tim Moltzen, Brett Stewart, Michael Ennis, Josh Mansour and Kevin Proctor in the last six months.
Coach Ricky Stuart is chasing JWH for season 2016 once he plays the final year of his current contract with the Sydney Roosters.
When contacted on Tuesday night, Stuart refused to talk up the Raiders’ chances.
