Balmain Announce Team List for Grand Final Showdown With Raiders

BALMAIN TIGERS SG BALL TEAM FOR GRAND FINAL

Balmain Tigers will play Canberra Raiders in the SG Ball Grand Final at St Marys Stadium on Saturday, May 5.

The match starts at 3pm.Both sides advanced through to the premiership decider last Saturday with Balmain beating South Sydney 34-26 in a tough, see-sawing encounter.

Canberra came from behind to down Sydney Roosters 33-32 in extra time with their field goal attempt from in front of the posts bouncing off both uprights before going over.

The Andrew Webster coached Balmain finished the regular season undefeated in nine games. Their only loss was in the first week of the preliminary finals, a 40-8 defeat to Canberra.

The Raiders finished the regular season in fourth place, winning 7 of their 9 games.

Should Balmain beat Canberra, it will be the Tigers’ first SG Ball title since 1982. The Tigers have won the SG Ball title just once.
