For those who did not attend last Saturday’s match against the Bulldogs, five of Canberra Raiders’ talented junior players were recognised for their fantastic representative selections.
Holden Cup stars Luke Bateman, Mitch Cornish, Brenko Lee and Tevita Pangai, along with promising Harold Matthews prospect Nic Cotric were introduced to the 11,000 strong crowd at halftime of the NRL.
Bateman and Lee were rewarded for their selection for Queensland in the Under 20s State of Origin fixture in April. The pair took on Mitch Cornish played at halfback for New South Wales.
Cornish enjoyed bragging rights over his Raiders teammates after being named Man of the Match in the Blues 36-12 victory over the Maroons.
