Cornish named man of the match in Under 20s State of Origin

The future’s looking bright in Canberra after the Green Machine had four players represent the club in last Saturday’s under 20s State of Origin match and topped off with Mitchell Cornish being named man of the match.

Young guns Anthony Milford, Brenko Lee and Luke Bateman all represented Queensland while NYC captain Mitch Cornish played for NSW.

The match was really tight until midway through the second half when the Blues cut loose, scoring 28 unanswered points for a 36-12 victory. It was a thrilling exhibition of young talent and all the Raiders players should be proud of their involvement.

The halves battle was especially intriguing with the dynamic duo of Milford and Cornish coming up against each other for the first time.
