Raiders drop Vidot

Queensland State of Origin squad member Daniel Vidot has been omitted from the Canberra Raiders side to play Manly at Brookvale Oval on Monday night.

Vidot has been replaced by Reece Robinson on the wing.

In the fowards Danny Galea has been brought in to the squad to start in the second row. Brett White moves from the bench to replace the injured David Shillington in the front-row. It will be White's first opportunity to start for the Raiders since coming to the club from Melbourne this year.

Trevor Thurling moves from the second row back to the bench. Sam Mataora has been promoted from the Souths Logan Queensland Cup side to be included on a five-man bench that will be cut to four before Monday's game.

Captain Alan Tongue will start the game at hooker and Glen Buttriss moves back to the bench.

The changes come in the wake of the Raiders' seventh successive loss when they were thumped 49-12 by the Wests Tigers at Canberra Stadium last Sunday.

Country representatives Josh Dugan, Joel Thompson and Tom Learoyd-Lahrs have been named for the Raiders and will back up providing the get through Friday night’s match in Albury unscathed.
