Match Report NYC: Raiders draw with Warriors in a thrillerThe Canberra Raiders Holden Cup side has drawn with New Zealand Warriors 22 all this evening at Canberra Stadium.
It was a disappointing result for the Raiders who had managed to pull ahead of the Warriors 22-20 late in the second half after trailing the visitors for the majority of the match.
There was a significant change to the side named in the middle of the week with Mitch Cornish withdrawing after being selected for Mounties. This saw Anthony Milford return to the NYC in halves after a stint in first grade.
Milford’s impact was almost immediate as he set up the first try of the afternoon for centre Brenko Lee after catching the Warriors defence short with a great cut out pass in the fourth minute of play. Milford subsequently missed the conversion attempt from the right hand touch line and it was 4 –0.
