Canberra Raiders Cup Round 10 Preview: Belconnen United V Gungahlin

Belconnen United Scholars (5) v Gungahlin Bulls (7) on Saturday at 3:00pm at Northbourne Oval

Last year’s premiers the Belconnen United Scholars will be looking to fight their way back into the top four of the TTM Canberra Raiders Cup ladder by defeating the Gungahlin Bulls at home this weekend.

Belconnen United will be confident leading into the clash after smashing the Bulls 52-18 in round three.

The win featured a hat-trick by Scholars outside back Junior Lafaele however the match is destined to be played out in the forwards.

It is in the forwards that experienced campaigners Josh Ayres of Gungahlin and Channon Macaskill of Belconnen United will go head-to-head.

The pair are the best of friends off the field but ferocious rivals on it. Both players are CRRL representatives and are likely to feature at lock for their respective sides. Their clash will be one to watch.
