The Canberra Raiders top squad will be spread right across McDonalds stores in the ACT region today (November 10), as part of the annual McHappy day celebrations.
From 12.00pm -1.00pm, the Raiders will be spread over a total of 17 stores in the region, including Tuggeranong, Dickson, Belconnen, Gungahlin, Charnwood and Mitchell.
The annual event aims to Raise much needed funds for the Ronald McDonald House Charity, which provides assistance for Australian families with seriously ill children while they battle their illness.
To be a part of the fundraising effort for McHappy day all you need to do is drop into a McDonald’s restaurant tomorrow from 10am. You can purchase a helping hand or make a donation, while $2 from every Big Mac will also be donated to RMHC.
Raiders forward Shaun Fensom said the players are looking forward to being a part of the day and said he hopes people come out and support the cause.
“McHappy Day is a great chance for people to help a great cause in Ronald McDonald House and we hope to see plenty of people in the McDonalds stores tomorrow to make a donation,” Fensom said. “I’ve seen a few of the boys cooking skills and I’m a bit worried about how they’ll go out the back making Big Macs, so maybe a few of them should stick to the drive thru window.”
Raiders will be attending : Conder, Erindale, Tuggeranong, Dickson, Fyshwick, Majura Park, Manuka Plaza, Belconnen, Charnwood, Gold Creek, Gungahlin, Holt, Mitchell, Weston, Braddon, Canberra Centre and Canberra City.
