With the Kangaroos only seconds from their first series defeat by Great Britain in two decades, Ricky Stuart raced into the clear near Australia's try line but had defenders in pursuit and was running out of legs as he tried to sprint the length of the field.
Backing up in support, Mal Meninga called, "Inside, Ricky", and shouldered aside Great Britain centre Carl Gibson as he received the pass before leaving two other would-be tacklers in his wake to snatch victory for the Kangaroos in the second Test of the 1990 Ashes series at Old Trafford.
