Today on NYC Reports twitter, (@NYCReportLeague) we asked followers for their tips on who they believed would win this years Holden Cup.
Overwhelming favourites were the Minor Premiers Canberra Raiders. The Raiders finished runners-up last year and will be looking to go one better. The first step to premiership glory will be to overcome the Bulldogs who gave them quite the touch up just a few weeks ago in round 23. Earlier I asked Jordan Worboys about that game.
“Our attitude was poor against the dogs, we simply didn’t turn up. The result was a kick in the bum that we obviously needed.”
Despite going on to win the Minor Premiership, Worboys, the Raiders 5/8 says they “will work hard this week to rectify a few areas and prepare as best we can for the weekends game.”
“The boys have stuck strong and have been working hard and can’t wait to get out there on Sunday.”
The Raiders take on Canturbury at ANZ stadium, Sunday, 1.30pm
