Teka optimistic on Johnson prospects
« on: May 04, 2013, 11:44:32 AM »
His SG Ball halves partner of last year Anthony Milford has burst into the NRL in stunning fashion, but Tuggeranong captain-coach Jarrad Teka insists halfback Carl Johnson is capable of returning to the Canberra Raiders fold should he continue his early season form.

Johnson and Milford, who will play his second NRL game in Melbourne on Saturday, joined forces in the halves to steer Canberra to last year's SG Ball grand final.

Milford is now on the game's big stage, but Johnson has quietly been forging his own reputation in the Canberra Raiders Cup.

Teka said the 19-year-old's composure and control has been crucial in Tuggeranong's unbeaten start to the season.

Decimated by injuries last year, the Bushrangers finished second-last in a forgettable campaign.
