Raiders take part in Roads to Regions
« on: February 16, 2021, 03:38:10 PM »
Headlined by former club captain Terry Campese, the Raiders took part in the NRL’s Road to Region campaign last week.

Campese, alongside Game Development Officers, travelled across the South West Region of New South Wales to deliver the NRL Inspire Health and Wellbeing workshop which was developed by another former captain, Alan Tongue.

The main message of this year’s program focused on resilience, support and gratitude and over three days, the group interacted with 1,500 students from the following schools:

  •  Parkview Public School (Leeton)
  • Tullibigeal Public School
  • Yanco Public School
  • Lake Cargelligo Public School
  • St Francis Xavier Public School (Lake Cargelligo)
  • Hanwood Public School (Griffith)
  • St Patricks Public School (Griffith)
Roads to Region also visited junior rugby league clubs across the region and conducted two rugby league clinics in Lake Cargelligo and Griffith.

Roads To Regions also conducted training sessions and breakfast with the Clontarf Foundation in Griffith. The Clontarf Foundation provide support for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.

The team had a fantastic time delivering the workshops and getting out into our regional areas that are a part of the Raiders family and mingling with local communities.
