Fog couldn't stop the Canberra Raiders joining the NSW Rugby League back in 1982 and it couldn't stop the Green Machine on Saturday night either. The Raiders faced the very real prospect of their already mammoth travel schedule becoming even longer following their 22-6 victory over the Melbourne Storm in Melbourne on Saturday night. Their flight home took off with the players and coaching staff unsure whether they'd be able to land at Canberra Airport due to fog in the capital. They faced the prospect of either diverting to Wagga Wagga or Sydney, and then having to catch a bus home turning a 1.30am bedtime into something much closer to dawn.
