A group of Canberra Raiders players risk running afoul of the NRL's vaccination policy after refusing to sign an unmodified waiver that would have allowed them to begin training with the team on Wednesday. The Sydney Morning Herald has reported Sia Soliola, Josh Papalii and Joseph Tapine crossed out a line in a players' waiver before signing it on Tuesday, believed to be the same line Gold Coast Titans forward Bryce Cartwright refused to agree to earlier this week. The line stipulates that players are aware they are at greater risk of contracting influenza if they do not receive a flu vaccination. The players are understood to be refusing to receive the vaccination on religious grounds. After refusing to sign the unmodified waiver, the trio were told not to show up at Raiders headquarters on Wednesday morning.
