The Canberra Raiders' halfback hunt has hit another roadblock with the Gold Coast Titans refusing to release Jamal Fogarty. Fogarty signed a one-year contract extension just last month to keep him at Robina until the end of 2023, but could find himself slipping behind 20-year-old halfback Toby Sexton in the playmaking pecking order. Hence the 27-year-old was keen to explore his options. The Raiders were still trying to replace George Williams, who returned to England this year due to homesickness. Canberra have also discussed New Zealand Warriors half Chanel Harris-Tavita, but could face similar problems to Fogarty with the 22-year-old contracted to the Warriors until the end of 2022.
