Title: Thompson regrets not winning NRL premiership with Raiders

JOEL THOMPSON was part of Canberra's 2008 squad that won the inaugural under-20s competition but one of his biggest regrets is leaving the Raiders without having won an NRL premiership.

Going into next season, Shaun Fensom, Jarrod Croker and Jarrad Kennedy will be the only Raiders survivors of the 2008 under-20s squad.

Thompson leaves for St George Illawarra next season and joins a long list of departures that includes Josh Dugan, Travis Waddell, Daniel Vidot, Michael Picker, Drury Low and Justin Carney.

''The team we had back then, we definitely thought we could be a force but, in footy, you never know what happens,'' Thompson said.
