Josh Hoffman could be the victim of Brisbane’s over-supply of fullbacks, according to Fox Sports commentator Ben Ikin.
Incoming Brisbane Broncos coach Wayne Bennett could have as many as four fullbacks in his squad when he returns to Red Hill next season, with Hoffman already replacing Ben Barba at No. 1, Anthony Milford set to arrive from Canberra and ongoing rumours that Darius Boyd will follow Bennett from Newcastle.
“Despite the fact Josh Hoffman is signed to the Broncos next year, his management is currently fielding offers and there is a big appetite for the bloke that’s played a lot of fullback for Brisbane - my tip is that Josh Hoffman will not be at the Broncos in 2015.”
A switch to the Canberra Raiders to replace Milford is one possible destination or possibly the St George Illawarra Dragons, who could look to build on a positive second half to this season.
