Raiders set for Saturday afternoon StormThe Canberra Raiders will kick-off their 2012 campaign on Saturday March 3 at 5.30pm, when they host the 2011 Minor Premiers the Melbourne Storm at Canberra Stadium.
Times and dates for the first five rounds of the 2012 season were released yesterday afternoon by the NRL, with the Raiders following their opening match against Melbourne with three away trips, including a Saturday night match on the Gold Coast, a Sunday afternoon match at the SFS against the Roosters and a Monday night clash with the Tigers at Campbelltown.
The Green Machine then returns home in round five to take on the North Queensland Cowboys at Canberra Stadium in another 5.30pm Saturday fixture.
(Please note this game will be re-scheduled due to a venue clash with the Brumbies Rugby team. Ove its reconfirmed the draw will be updated online)
The draw give the Raiders two family friendly timeslots to start the 2012 season and fans are encouraged to make sure they have their 2012 membership purchased ahead of the season.
