Gungahlin Bulls [7] 28 defeated West Belconnen Warriors [8] 16Whilst the Gungahlin Bulls have extended West Belconnen’s winless star to the year, the Warriors put in a vastly better performance than that of the previous week, when they were thrashed by over 50 points by Woden.
West Belconnen halfback Ricky Fulivai had a terrific game for the Warriors scoring 12 points through two tries and two goals.
Ultimately though, Gungahlin were too strong in the middle for the Warriors with the Bulls running out victors by 12 points.
Bulls Captain and Canberra Region representative lock Josh Ayres was again a tower of strength up front for Gungahlin.
Ayres scored a great try but it was his tireless performance in defence and courageous carries in attack that were monumental in the win.
