Defending premiers the Belconnen United Scholars will look to issue a statement to the top of the table Queanbeyan Blues that they won’t be giving up their title without a challenge this year.

Scholars Coach John Hawke has described the Blues as having been “the best side in the competition so far this year” and it is not hard to see why with Queanbeyan having been defeated just once this year and ranked as the best team in the comp statistically in both attack and defence.

The previous encounter between these two sides last year was a very tight affair with the Blues winning the contest 22-18.

Fans can expect a similarly tight encounter this round between two high quality sides featuring some of the finest players in the competition.
