Fans put Dugan in All Stars race29 December 2010, 1:00 amJosh Dugan is the favourite to fill the Canberra Raiders spot in the NRL All Stars team after the first round of voting closed yesterday.
The fullback was second on the list of vote-getters after the opening stages, just behind veteran Parramatta forward Nathan Hindmarsh. He will now battle with Canberra teammates David Shillington, Bronson Harrison and Jarrod Croker to be the Raiders' All Star representative.
The Canberra quartet is on a 64-strong short-list for the match at Skilled Park on February12. More than 21,000 fans voted and must now choose just one player from each of the 16 NRL clubs.
Stars Mark Gasnier, Mitchell Pearce and Michael Ennis did not make the second round of voting. Shillington was Canberra's representative in last year's fixture. Raiders Tom Learoyd-Lahrs, Travis Waddell and Joel Thompson are in the Indigenous All Stars squad.
