Dugan leads new faces in All Star teamCanberra's Josh Dugan, Cronulla's Paul Gallen and Parramatta's Nathan Hindmarsh are among a host of new faces named in the NRL's All Star squad for next month's Indigenous All Star clash.
The team, which will again be captained by Brisbane, Queensland and Australian skipper Darren Lockyer, will take on the NRL's best indigenous talent at Skilled Park on the Gold Coast on February 12.
Hindmarsh and Dugan combined to keep former Dally M medal winner Jarryd Hayne out of the side, while other notable selections included North Queensland front-rower Matt Scott, Melbourne's Cameron Smith and Newcastle winger Akuila Uate.
Knights captain Kurt Gidley and Penrith's Petero Civoniceva earned call-ups as coach Wayne Bennett's personal picks.
Bennett said that winning was not the most important outcome of the clash.
"We got a great deal of satisfaction out of being a part of it last year ... It is about playing well and about the players wanting to play in the game," Bennett said.
"Winning takes care of itself after that."
