Raiders continue dominance over Dragons

When a groggy Josh Dugan staggered off late in Canberra’s 22-18 win over St George Illawarra, the irony was lost on no-one.

Billed as a Raiders revenge mission against their former poster boy, Dugan was knocked out by a stray knee from Dragons teammate Jason Nightingale chasing a bomb.

It wasn’t exactly the retribution the small contingent of Canberra fans travelled to Wollongong to see.

Most expected the match to be laced with spite following Dugan’s acrimonious departure from the national capital early this season.

But aside from two minor second half scuffles in which the Blues fullback was heavily involved, the Raiders issued payback by grabbing two crucial competition points.
