They work together at the same cleaning company, but Queanbeyan Blues coach Simon Woolford and Queanbeyan Kangaroos opposite Aaron Gorrell want to take each other to the cleaners in Sunday's Canberra Raiders Cup grand final.
Their strong friendship will be put on hold for 80 minutes as the former NRL hookers battle for cross-town bragging rights at Seiffert Oval.
The banter has been flying thick and fast around the Clean Machine office this week, a company Woolford owns. While he takes orders from Woolford during the week, Gorrell wants to show him who's boss on Sunday.
''I think whoever loses has to work Monday, hopefully it's not me,'' Gorrell said. ''We're pretty good mates and you talk footy, but we keep most things pretty secretive. There's been a bit of friendly banter and hopefully I can bag him for a while.''
