Tom Learoyd-Lahrs (Raiders) cited from All Stars match

Liam Fulton (Tigers), Ryan James (Titans) and Tom Learoyd-Lahrs (Raiders) cited from All Stars match

IT MIGHT have been an exhibition game but the NRL All Stars-Indigenous clash at Skilled Park on Saturday night has proved costly for the West Tigers and Gold Coast Titans and Canberra Raiders.

Three players, Liam Fulton (Tigers), Ryan James (Titans) and Tom Learoyd-Lahrs (Raiders), were cited by the NRL match review committee after the match.

Fulton was charged with a grade-two dangerous throw and faces two weeks on the sideline if he pleads guilty (three weeks if he fights the charge and loses).

James (dangerous contact, pressure on head/neck) will cop a week's suspension while Learoyd-Lahrs (dangerous contact, knees) will be handed a week's suspension even though an early guilty plea will attact only 90 demerit points because he has a 20 per cent loading for previous form.

The suspensions can be served in official NRL trials.

FANS smashed a record this morning when they snapped up 1800 tickets in the first hour of selling for the Broncos-Cowboys opening-round blockbuster at Suncorp Stadium on March 11.

This was 500 more than was sold in the first hour last year, and comes on top of the 1750 sold in pre-sale to members and Broncos Facebook fans last week.

The Broncos are aiming to top the 48,000-plus crowd attracted for the round-one game last year.

At least he won't miss a season game for it. Not going to get worked up about it.
