The Canberra Raiders NYC side will need to undergo some soul searching this coming week after crashing to a 62-12 loss to the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs this afternoon at Canberra Stadium.
The table toping Raiders would have come into match reasonably confident; however, they were shell shocked by a rabid Bulldogs side that scored more than a point a minute during the opening stanza for a 42-0 lead at halftime.
The Bulldogs drew first blood in the second minute when prop Josh Vaartjes crashed over under the posts. Canterbury fullback Patrick Templeman converted for a 6-0 lead.
This side was soon extended when winger Dujuam Liolevave scored in the right corner. This was followed by three rapid fire tries to Templeman, halfback Jaline Graham and back rower Shaun Lane which bought the score line to 28-0 after 25 minutes.
