Five Canberra Raiders players have been included in the Junior Kangaroos train-on squad for the clash with the Junior Kiwis in Sydney next week.
Jack Ahearn, Mitch Cornish, Patrick Mago, Luke Bateman and Tahakilu Pangai were on Monday added to the squad that will play the Kiwis at WIN Jubilee Oval in Kogarah on October 13.
The quintet were members of the Raiders' under-20 side that lost Saturday night's preliminary final 36-20 to the Penrith Panthers.
Halfback Cornish said he was proud of the Raiders' efforts in the Holden Cup this season and was looking forward to donning the green and gold for Australia.
"Getting picked in this Junior Kangaroos side eases the pain a little bit, but obviously we'd still love to be playing again this weekend for the Raiders in the grand final," he said.
